Cutting & Preparing Durian

$125.00

7.5 x 11 - Watercolor on 100% Cotton Paper

I dont paint figures too often, but this one was quite fun and challenging to do. This was my first time buying some durian and this was the guy who I bought it from. He prepared it and cut it up for me, so I thought it would be cool to do as a painting. This is from the small village of Kundasang in Malaysia. Along the main road in the village, you can find a bunch of small popup tents and other stalls selling fresh fruits and vegetables every day. Thats where I bought this durian. I hope you enjoy this figure painting and the story behind it.
